▶결과는 심플하지만 과정은 험난해 보이는 시골주택의 변신 | 물성의 대비 | 리노베이션 | 포르투갈

 

포르투갈 시골마을의 구옥을 리노베이션 프로젝트로, 기존의 시골주택은 집주인의 사용에 의해 3개의 작은집으로 구분되어 있음을 발견하여 디자인의 방향을 잡는다. 외부에서 보는 볼륨을 최대한 유지하면서 건물의 중심에 슬라브를 도려내 중정을 내어 채광을 확보하고 공간들 간의 연결이 되도록 하였다.

1층은 거친 석재의 재료를 사용하여 기존의 분위기를 최대한 유지하면서 위층의 흰색마감의 벽과 강한 대비를 통해 물성의 변화를 인지하겠금하여 공간의 변화를 시도하였다. 1층과 2층 사이 콘크리트 슬라브 띠는 층을 가르는 또 하나의 대비요소가 되며, 2층 건물은 흰색의 볼륨과 창문프레임을 숨기는 매우 심플한 디자인으로 대비의 효과를 완성하고 있다.

 

Text description provided by the architects. The project results from the remodeling of an old farmhouse located in a yet very rural city. By disassembling the poor materials of the old facade we discovered that the house was actually made up of three small houses built according to the needs of the former owner.

This was the key premise for the creation of our project, maintaining the structure of the original volumes and assume their original shape uncovered, unifying them through a slab perforated by a central patio that fills with light the entire social area, located on the ground floor. A garden roof finish on this central slab offers a new intimate garden to all rooms and private areas of the house. 

In terms of materiality, our intention was to create a strong contrast between the two floors. On the ground floor a rougher materiality, denouncing the tectonic of the construction, transmitting the sensation of living inside a granite excavated mass, with a very strong relation with the exterior space.
