▶ 집안 어디서나 안뜰을 풍경을 감상할 수 있는 집 | 시골주택 

 

넓은 대지에 깊숙이 자리잡은 6개동의 집은 중앙 정원을 둘러싸고 있다. 6개동의 집은 박공형태이 연속적으로 배열되어 있다. 밝은 내부와 자연과 연결된 동선되어 있으며 단순하고 고상해보이는 외관과 달리 실내는 개방적이다.  절제된 재료의 사용으로 고요한 집의 분위기를 연상하고 내부는 목재의 따뜻함과 가구와 전시품으로 공간의 레이어를 더한다. 지붕의 형태가 공간으로 그대로 연결되며, 천정에 눈부신 조명기구를 설치하지 않아 6개동의 집이 연결되어 있음을 공간적으로 쉽게 파악할 수 있다.

 

Set deep within a large plot, the house is defined by six cubes, tessellated from a central point to create a dynamic architecture amidst lush gardens. As architect Bryan Young puts it, "The gable modules are arranged to align the roof ridges and create continuity from one module to the next." Modern forms connect with nature in many ways. The cubic volume has openings that serve as passageways to the garden. The holes inside frame the landscape. The interior courtyard, captured on a tour of the home, features garden beds beneath a wooden pavilion. It is holistic and intentional. This is the effect you get when an architect designs a breathtakingly beautiful home.
